GENERAL INFORMATION

APPLIED ECONOMICS MEETINGS promoted by the Asociación Libre de Economía (AldE) and the Revista de Economía Aplicada (REA), are conceived as a channel to disseminate and discuss research work that deepen the knowledge of reality through the use of applied economic analysis.

In Applied Economics Meeting two types of working sessions will take place. On the one hand, parallel thematic sessions, where scientific communications selected in each area will be presented. On the other hand, plenary sessions with invited keynote speakers.

THE APPLIED ECONOMICS MEETINGS is open to the participation of the international scientific community, so that the official languages ​​are Spanish and English. The papers written in English can be assigned to a session in which it is the working language. Meeting organization encourages participants to present and defend their papers in English.

AREAS

The Applied Economics Meetings are conferences open to any researcher with an interest in Applied Economics. They are organized jointly by the Asociación Libre de Economía (ALdE) and the Revista de Economía Aplicada (REA). The Meeting gathers more than 200 academics and practitioners on an annual basis covering a wide range of fields in the area of Applied Economics.

YOUNG RESEARCHERS ALDE PRIZE 2021

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 2021

1. The Prize will be for the best paper whose author or authors are under 35 years old. All full papers (submitted by the deadline) stating their willingness to participate in the contest will be considered for the prize.

2. The jury will be composed of the Scientific Committee of the Meeting or by those members of the Committee in which it delegated. The jury will choose the decision based on a system of objective scores. The jury will also take into account the views of the chairman of the different sessions.

3. The amount of the Prize will be 1,000.00 euros (one thousand euros). This prize is donated by Asociación Libre de Economía (AldE).

4. In exceptional and duly justified cases, the jury may award two papers, and the prize will be divided equally. The jury also may award one Special mention that will have an economic payment of 500.00 euros (five hundred euros). The prize may be declared void.

5. At the beginning of the Meeting, the jury will announce the finalists for the ALdE Young Researcher Award, whose authors commit (at least one author of each paper) to be present at the closing dinner where the jury’s verdict will be made public. This verdict is final.

6. Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of these rules.
